Delete your account and data

This page applies to the app “nowa: Breathing Exercises” by Mindful Breathing Studio. You can delete your account at any time, in the app or by email.

In the app

  1. Open nowa and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Privacy.
  3. Tap “Delete all my data” and confirm with “Yes, delete all”.

nowa then deletes your data on the device and on our server, and finally your account.

Without the app

Write to support@nowabreathing.com from the email address you used to create your nowa account, with the subject “Delete account”. We delete your account and data within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

  • your account with email address and sign-in
  • your profile, session history, custom exercises, favourites and Buteyko measurements
  • your Duet connections. The shared rings stay in the other person’s tree, without your name.
  • your support requests
  • usage events linked to your account
  • the device token for notifications

What is kept

  • Purchases and subscriptions: billing is handled by Apple or Google, and purchase records are also kept by our billing service RevenueCat. Their rules and the legal retention periods apply.
  • Usage events without an account: they only carry a random ID of the installation, no name and no email address, and are kept for statistics. nowa only sends them if you agreed.
  • Duets for the other person: the shared rings stay in their tree, without your name and without any link to you.
  • Emails: emails already sent are deleted automatically by our email service after its retention period; in our mailbox they remain for at most two years after your request is closed.

A Duet subscription does not end on its own

Please cancel a running Duet subscription yourself before deleting: on iPhone under Settings → your name → Subscriptions, on Android in the Play Store under Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
